Quarterly Newsletter for February - April

Our February, 2009 newsletter is now available. It contains information on upcoming sesshin and other events, as well as a number of changes to our weekly schedule. Please note that we will now have zazen four days a week at Myoshinji, as well as monthly Practice Circles with zazen, a talk and an informal discussion.

In the Chicago area, we're making two changes, both in an effort to increase the feeling of community in the sangha. First, the format for our monthly teisho will change slightly to incorporate more time for discussion. We'll also be posting readings and discussion topics in advance here on the web site, so please keep an eye out for those. (Also, please consider subscribing to our RSS feed if you haven't already!) Second, we'll have a monthly New Members' Orientation before zazen. Starting at 6:15, senior students will be available to review zendo and service procedures and answer questions in an informal setting. Of course it's not strictly for new members, everyone is encouraged to attend!

We're very excited to be making these changes for the new year, and we hope you'll be able to take advantage of these new practice opportunities. Please let us know if you have any questions.
